Anti-Spam Policy

In order to offer a high-quality service and protect all our users, we and our customers are committed to respecting these 6 essential commandments in the fight against spam:

Do not use third-party e-mail lists

No email may be sent to an acquired list (purchased, rented, borrowed or other), regardless of the quality or permissions attached to that list. No e-mail may be sent to lists copied or retrieved in any way from the web. The fact that a person has posted his or her e-mail address publicly does not in any way indicate that he or she grants permission to use it.

Send e-mails only to people who have given permission to receive them (except for transactional messages)

Emails can only be sent to people who have voluntarily subscribed to a newsletter form or who have consciously ticked (optin) a box on an online or offline form. This box must not be checked by default and must clearly indicate the subject to which the person is subscribing. The message sent must be related to the subject to which the person has subscribed. Emails can only be sent to people who have explicitly given their permission to contact them on this subject.

Reduce spam criteria in our messages

The subject of the email must not be disappointing or mislead the recipient. The content of the message must correspond to the recipient’s expectations. It is forbidden to send emails related to or using the lexical field of the following activities: gambling, betting, pyramid sales, adult content, pharmacy, opportunistic offers such as « get rich quick », « financial independence » or any illegal activities as mentioned in article 6.

Include an unsubscribe link in all e-mails

Emails must include a link allowing the recipient to unsubscribe from receiving future emails. This link must be placed in an accessible and visible place so that any user can see it and understand its meaning. Unsubscription must be effective immediately, and no further emails of any kind should be sent to this person. Of course, under existing legislation, transactional emails do not necessarily require an unsubscribe link: they are the only acceptable exception. As a reminder, an email can be considered transactional if it is a one-to-one message sent to confirm or inform the recipient about an action they have carried out themselves (purchase, password reset, account creation, etc.).

Clearly indicate the name and status of the sender of the message

No e-mail may contain fraudulent or inaccurate headers. In particular, the « From », « To » and « Reply To » fields, as well as the associated domain and email address, must be accurate and clearly identify the sender.

Do not send any illegal or illicit messages

No e-mail may contain information that is illegal, defamatory, racist, pornographic, pedophilic, incites racial hatred or more generally infringes human rights. Furthermore, it is absolutely forbidden to send e-mails promoting illegal activities such as, but not limited to, gambling, adult content, weapons or explosives, tobacco or related products, drugs or medicines, politics or religions, computer hacking or illegal copying of files. Finally, no e-mail may contain information that could damage the reputation of Mailjet, its affiliates, customers, partners or members.
